Telangana Muslims suffered maximum damages in united state: Srinivas Goud

The separate Telangana movement aimed at eliminating injustice, discrimination and promoting social equality in Telangana. The main goal of pro-Telangana intellectuals is to ensure justice to oppressed classes who were downtrodden due to conspiracies of Andhrite leaders and investors. President Telangana Gazetted Officers Association and TJAC co chairman Mr. Srinivas Goud told this while answering a question on social equality in proposed Telangana state. He further said that with the formation of Andhra Pradesh state Muslims suffered maximum damages. While Muslims were 30 to 40 pc in government departments before formation of Andhra Pradesh, due to hegemony of Andhrite leaders and employees Muslim ratio plummeted to just 1 pc in government departments.

Now that the process of Telangana formation is reaching its final phase, in this scenario an action plan should be prepared to ensure justice to backward classes including Muslims. Mr. Srinivas Goud advocated for reservations to Muslims in Telangana state proportionate to their population in all fields. He felt that reservations to Muslims in assembly and parliament proportionate to their population will be helpful in resolution of their problems. He claimed that setting up of small industries in Muslim predominant areas including old city will be helpful in eliminating economic problems of Muslims. He also said if the 7 lakh acre Waqf property of Telangana will be handed over to Muslims of Telangana then Telangana Muslims will never have to depend upon government aid or reservations.
