Telangana Muslims perturbed over Myanmar crisis; Dy CM meets Naqvi

Hyderabad: Union minister for minority affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi assured Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali that he will invite attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj towards stopping violence against Muslims in Myanmar. Mr. Mahmood Ali called on Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi in New Delhi on Saturday and discussed Myanmar crisis. He told the union minister that Myanmar crisis has made Muslims of Telangana quite worried. He was there to represent government as well as Muslims. He requested the centre to use its influence to control the situation in Myanmar. He asked the union minister that it is the duty of elected Muslim representatives to raise voice against violence against the community.

Mr. Mahmood Ali also requested the Indian government to have soft attitude towards Burma refugees and help them. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told that he himself is worried over the Myanmar situation as well and assured every possible step.
