A round table conference was held by Tahreek Muslim Shabban entitled ‘Union of secular votes against communal forces’. Representatives of Congress and TRS were invited in the conference however only Congress MLC and former minister Muhammed Ali Shabbir attended the conference. Muhammed Mushtaq Malik said that after repeated consultation with TRS we felt that TRS leadership can even support NDA at the centre to get power in Telangana. He further said although Congress party is also not spotlessly clean but to keep communal forces away from power it is necessary to bring Congress to power.
On the occasion MLC and Congress leader Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir cited Congress manifesto and said that Congress plans to give reservations and aids to Muslims.
Later Telangana Muslim United Front was formed and Mr. Mushtaq Malik was made the convenor.
