Telangana Movement to intensify to target Congress

Hyderabad, December 24: On completion of two years of deviation of the statement made by Home Minster for separate T-State, TRS and JAC organized ‘Treachery Day’ in all the ten districts of Telangana. Rallies against UPA Govt. were organized and effigies of Central Govt. were set on fire. Telangana employees also participated in those rallies.

Mass scale protests were arranged in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Warangal, Medak, Khammam, Adilabad and Mahaboobnagar. As per the information received at Telangana Bhavan, police didn’t allow rallies and arrested the protestors at some places. In Hyderabad, a rally was taken out from Sundaryya Park, Lingampally to Indira Park which was led by Prof. Kodandaram, Chairman, Telagana Joint Political Action Committee. Mr. N. Narasimha Reddy, Former Minister and others joined the rally. Taraknama Rao & T. Harish Rao, M.L.A’s addressed the gathering. Prof. Kodandaram told that Telangana stir would be intensified and Congress would be targeted.

He told that agitation would be intensified under the slogan “Finish Congress and Get Telangana”. He alleged that Congress & TDP have adopted dual standards. He warned that the delay in resolving T-issue may trigger violence in the state. He told that on the pretext of negotiations, Central Govt. is evading the problem. He said that in the wake of T-agitation, the center should not delay in announcing separate T-State. He pointed out that in the appointment of lecturers, Andhra candidates are being preferred. He appealed to the students not to allow the Andhra lecturers to enter into the classrooms. Telangana Congress MLA’s failed to project T-issue during ‘No Confidence Movement’ in Assembly. They could have compelled the Govt. of A.P. to get the Telangana Resolution passed in the Assembly. If T- Congressmen would have been united such resolution could have been passed. Commenting on the padyatra of TDP supreme Mr. Naidu, he said that because of by-elections, Naidu is remembering Telangana now. As C.M. Mr. Naidu didn’t realiose the suicides of the farmers. Farmers agitating for reduction of power rates were fired. Mr. Naidu is shedding crocodile tears now.
