Telangana Elders’ Forum convener D. Shankar has said that the people of Telangana region will not accept the proposal of Rayala Telangana.
Speaking to the media persons here on Tuesday, Shankar appealed to all the Telangana MPs and MLAs to boycott the Presidential Poll as the Central government has delayed the announcement of separate Telangana state. He urged the MLAs from Telangana region to resign their posts and fight for the cause of separate state. He wanted the State government to take steps for proper distribution of the Krishna Water in Telangana region and other districts. He demanded the Central government to increase medical seats in Telangana region on par with Andhra region.
Shankar said that they would organize a symposium on ‘Future Telangana movement- Political Scenario’ on July 11 at Madina Educational Society, Nampally at 6 pm. Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram would be the chief guest. Several party leaders, caste association leaders, Intellectuals and student leaders will attend the symposium.
