Telangana Minority employees played key role in Telangana Movement

Addressing a gathering at Press Club Basheer Bagh, President of Telangana Employees’ JAC, Mr. M.A. Farooq Ahmed told that the role of Telangana employees has been significant. It played an unforgettable role during the strike period and in all the movements. Minority employees are also celebrating like any other group. On this occasion, the association is placing before the political parties their demands so that the injustices meted out to the Minority employees could be resolved.

After the formation of AP State in 1956, 33 thousand Muslim employees were removed from service with a stroke of pen on the pretext that they do not know Telugu. Now that Telangana State is being formed, 33 thousand vacancies should be given to the Muslim. In the same manner, Andhra rulers deprived promotions to Telangana Muslim Employees.

The Association demanded 12% reservation to Muslim in jobs and also in educational institutions. It is the responsibility of the Muslim to be prepared for competitive examinations. All the political parties who want to take Muslims votes and do nothing for them will be deprived of Muslim votes.

Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, President of Movement for Peace and Justice told that ever since independence, The Muslims have been deprived of many opportunities in Assembly and Council.
