Hyderabad: It seems that crimes against women are on the increase day-by-day in Telangana State. Women are facing domestic violence, sexual harassment, sexual assault etc.
In one such incident of violence against women, a married woman was set on fire for refusing physical advances by a man. This incident took place at Farooq Nagar area which falls under the jurisdiction of Shadnagar Police Station.
According to the report of the police, a man by name Jangam Ramalu was insisting her to fulfill his sexual desire. He threatened her if she does not yield to his pressure. However, the woman did not bow down before him.
Yesterday, when she was coming back home after finishing her work, the man intercepted her and poured kerosene on her body. Later, he set her ablaze.
Shadnagar Police registered a case and started investigation.
