Telangana Maalala JAC Asks TDP Chief To Spell Stand On T First

The Telangana Maalala JAC has demanded that Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu immediately spell out his stand on separate Telangana State issue instead of discussing on SC categorization.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, JAC chairman B. Deepak Kumar alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was trying to gain politically in the next 2014 general election in the name of the SC categorization. He warned that the TDP leaders cannot move in the region if the TDP tried to gain politically through SC categorization. He asked the TDP chief as to why he did not incorporate the SC categorization in his party manifesto in 2009 general elections. He criticized Chandrababu Naidu for his failure to amend the relevant Act about SC categorization when he was in power. He also charged Naidu with passing SC Categorization Bill in the State by misguiding the Union government. Though he had failed to get the Constitution amended at national level, the Supreme Court had dismissed the SC categorization case earlier.

Deepak Kumar said that Madiga and Maala people from Telangana region were fighting only for separate Telangana instead of the SC categorization. He said that they would organize a seminar on “Separate Telangana state—Maala and Madiga people’s role” on August 19 at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram at Bagh Lingampally here.

JAC vice-president Paladugu Anil Kumar, spokespersons Mandala Bhaskar, Durgam Bhaskar, Bathula Ramprasad, Srinivas, Ramchandar, D. Arjun, V. Krishnamurthy, Neelam Padmarao, K. Ramesh and G. Yadagiri were present. (NSS)s
