Telangana lawyers who were on a chalo Sangareddy agitation to protest against the comments of local MLA Jagga Reddy were arrested by police and cases were foisted on them.
Nearly 50 High Court lawyers came in a procession to express their protest against Reddy for his uncharitable remarks but were stopped by police mid-way. After a scuffle and tense moments, the lawyers were taken to various police stations and serious non-bailable cases were foisted on them.
The situation was tense at the local court when police lathi-charged lawyers who were raising slogans against the local MLA and were trying to surge towards his residence.
While some lawyers from Hyderabad were arrested on their way, others who assembled at the local court were beaten up.
