Hyderabad, June 10: The Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) Wednesday joined hands with a little-known outfit fighting for separate Andhra state with both the organisations deciding to work together for achieving their goal.
The T-JAC and Andhra Rashtra Praja Party would work towards removing mistrust between the people of Telangana and non-Telangana regions, JAC convener M Kodandaram told reporters.
Andhra Rashtra Praja Party leader Srinivasa Rao said his outfit would like learn from the experience of the T-JAC in carrying forward its campaign.
He said those demanding ‘Samaikya Andhra Pradesh’ (united Andhra Pradesh) have done nothing for the poor people of the region.
Those opposing division of Andhra Pradesh have a vested interest to protect their properties, Srinivasa Rao said.
Both the associations are likely to work towards reducing opposition to the proposed tour of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao to Vijayawada in Coastal Andhra.
Telangana protagonists claimed that the visit of the TRS president to Vijayawada would dilute the “separate Telangana sentiment”.
