Senior journalist P Venkateswar Rao today said the Telangana statehood issue must be addressed as early as possible.
He expressed concern about the suicides committed by youth for the cause of Telangana state Mr Venkateswar Rao claimed that no party or government would survive without the people”s support as the aspirations of 90 per cent of the people of Telangana were for separate state. He said parties must not play with the lives of the people and expressed confidence that Telangana state issue would be resolved by 2014.
He appealed to the BJP to conduct seminars and meetings in seemandhra region and highlight the fact that separation of the state would not go against other regions.
He said there was a need to discuss the issue in Paraliament before the Telangana bill is introducted, for smooth divisionof the state. UNI
