Telangana intermediate results 2018: Girls outshine boys

HYDERABAD: Telangana Board of Intermediate Education on Friday announced the first and second year exam results, where girls outperformed boys.

Out of 4,55,789 students, from the first year appeared and 2,84,224 cleared it. The pass percentage among girls was 69 and that of the boys was 55.66 percent.

In the second year, 4,29,378 appeared for the exam passed and girls again outscored boys with a pass percentage 73.2% in comparison to the boys 61%.

PASS PERCENTAGE OF GIRLS:

  • 1st year: 69 percent
  • 2nd year: 73.25 percent

PASS PERCENTAGE OF BOYS:

  • 1st year: 55.66 per cent
  • 2nd year: 61 per cent

Last year too, the girls topped the exams in the first and second year intermediate examinations.

The result of intermediate I & II Year examinations, which were conducted between 28 February, 2018 and 19 March, 2018 was released on its official website bse.telangana.gov.in.
