Telangana impossible in UPA regime: BJP

Hyderabad, October 06: Dr. K. Lakshman, National Secretary of BJP reacted bitterly on the remarks made by Pranab Mukherjee that Telangana is complicated issue and no time frame could be imposed on its solution. He said that these remarks amount to humiliating the people of Telangana. UPA Govt. is not serious about the formation of Telangana State. If seems impossible that the Govt. would form Telangana. Dr. Lakshman told that in 2004, Sonia Gandhi joined hands with TRS and won elections. It was also mentioned in President’s address to parliament that efforts would be made for the formation of Separate Telangana State. He questioned that while forming the other states why didn’t they think of consensus? Congress Party is wasting time in the name of formation of various committees. Congress is responsible for suicidal deaths for the past 8 years.

He blamed both Congress and TDP for not clearly expressing their views on Telangana issue. He alleged that both these parties are adopting dual standard.

He hoped that Advani’s yatra which will start on 11th October 2011 would be helpful in exposing the treacherous policies of the Govt. This yatra will reach Hyderabad after covering 5 districts of Telangana on 18th & 19th October 2011.
