Telangana: Heavy rains disrupt normal life

Hyderabad: Heavy rains in most of the Telangana District paralyzed normal life. It has ruined many crops. Rivers are flowing above the danger line. The Godavari is likely to get floods. The water level at Nagarjuna Sagar is increasing rapidly. Rain disrupted the normal lives in Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Asifabad and coastal districts of AP. Due to decrease in air pressure in Odisha, rain is likely in the next 24 hours in the coastal districts of AP and Telangana.

Governments of AP and Telangana have issued high alert notices to its officials. Many places in AP and Telangana have been submerged.

Director of the Met office, Dr. K. Nagaratna informed that due to low air pressure, rain is causing disruption.

In Adilabad, exams have been postponed. In Vishakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East and West Godavari, the flood situation has become dangerous. In all the major dams of Telangana and Andhra, water levels have increased. Excess water was released from Nagarjuna Sagar dam.
