A meeting was held for preservation of Urdu language and its promotion at Era Talent School, Rajendranagar, in which Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali Deputy Chief Minister attended as chief Guest while Mr. Amer Ali Khan news editor Siasat and Prof. S A Shukoor attended as guests of honour.
During his speech Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali told that Siasat Daily had always come forward to solve problems of Urdu. Siasat Daily had also played an important role in Telangana movement and now it was running 12% reservation campaign. He asserted that Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan and news editor Mr. Amer Ali Khan had passion to serve the community. They disseminated problems of minorities and publicised government schemes free of cost, due to which thousands of people were benefiting from the schemes.
Mr. Mahmood Ali also mentioned various schemes introduced by TRS government like Shaadi Mubarak scheme, overseas scholarship scheme, owner cum driver scheme, etc. He assured that scholarship issue would be resolved soon. He claimed that Telangana government was seriously mulling over resolving the problems of Telangana people. He maintained that Chief Minister had promised to provide 12% reservations to Muslim for which Sudhir Commission had been formed and survey was being done. He informed Mr. Amer Ali Khan that government would need some time to provide reservations.
Addressing on the occasion Mr. Amer Ali Khan asserted that Siasat was running Muslim Empowerment Movement to provide reservations to Muslims and people had been supporting their cause. Lakhs of people would benefit if 12% reservations were implemented. Muslims would get over 12 thousand government jobs and thousands of families would benefit hence everyone should join the movement. He hoped that Siasat’s movement would mount pressure on the government and government would be compelled to provide reservations to Muslims. He claimed that, keeping in view the backwardness and poor economic condition of Muslims, it was the responsibility of the government to provide reservation.
