Hyderabad: Telangana government today decided to appoint a task force on the issue of creation of new districts.
Telangana Cabinet, which met here, discussed the status of the creation of new districts, which are supposed to come into being from Dussehra, press release from the State government said.
“The Chief Minister (K Chandrasekhar Rao) decided to appoint a committee under the leadership of the Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma. The task force would look into the administrative wings of the new districts,” it said.
According to the release, KCR expressed satisfaction over the feedback coming from the people on the new districts. He sought suggestions from senior bureaucrats on the required strength of employees to work at the field level.
The government had earlier announced that it would be carving out 17 new districts from the existing ten, taking the total number of districts to 27.
