Telangana Government allots additional 634 sq. yards to ‘Centre for Dalit Studies’

Hyderabad: Telangana State Government has allotted another 634 square yards to the already allotted 800 square yards for the construction of ‘Centre for Dalit Studies’ by the Scheduled Castes Development Department at Yousuguda in Hyderabad.

CM KCR had earlier assured exclusively built centre for Dalit Studies and appointed Mallepalli Laxmaiah as its Chairman.

The Chief Minister wanted the new facility of CDS coming up here will be a one-stop shop for the development of marginalized communities in the society.

Mallepalli Laxmaiah thanking CM KCR for establishing the Dalit Study centre said, “The Chief Minister himself took personal interest in the establishment of the CDS on behalf of the government which is nowhere in the country”.

The new appointed CDS Chairman said the CDS will be focusing on the Dalit’s betterment and would conduct research programs for the betterment of the caste. He was positive about the completion of the building construction by the years end.

The proposed building’s estimated cost will be 21 crores and shall be built at 65,000 square feet and would have six floors which shall include audio-video conference and also digital classrooms.
