Hyderabad: A sand sculpture will be put up for display on the road opposite NTR Garden, Tank Bund for the next one week. The sand sculpture created to mark Telangana formation day will depict Martyrs’ Memorial, Telangana Talli and K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Hindu has quoted Tarini Prasad Mishra, the sand artist as saying “I was asked to do a sand sculpture for Telangana Formation Day and the best way to represent it, I felt was the Martyrs’ Memorial and Telangana Talli. I gave the proposal and the Mayor accepted it.” Mishra who has been drafted for the project belongs to Srikakulam.
Two tractor loads of river sand has been used to build the sculpture, the artist informed.
