Telangana employees neglected even in Railways

The 36th colloquium of Telangana Resource Center was held yesterday on “Railway System in Hyderabad State- Problems in Telangana in their solution”.

Mr. B.Muthaiah, Chairman of South Central Railway Employees’ Joint Action Committee presided over the colloquium Mr. Ch.Prabhakar, Secretary, Telangana Praja Front, Mr. K.Vijaya Rghavan, Convener, MMTS Travelers’ Union, Mr. Anwar Patel Chairman, Telangana Railway Travelers’ Union and others participated in the colloquium.

Mr. Muthaiah told that the former Hyderabad was such a princely State, which had its own roads and railway tracks and other facilities for the benefits of the public. In Telangana area, many railway stations were setup with better facilities. Railways was the largest income-generating department. Telangana employees are being neglected in South Central Railway.

Mr. Anwar Patel told that injustices were done to Telangana employees after the formation of A.P. State. He told that lack of Education and Resources have played an important role in depriving the people of Telangana from employment. He said that during the reign of Nizam-VII many railway stations were constructed with better facilities.

The other speakers also addressed the gathering and told that the railway lines laid during Aasif Jahi periods were the best lines.

At the beginning of the colloquium, two minutes’ silence was observed to condole the demise of Konda Lakshiman Bapuji and all those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana.
