Hyderabad: Prof. Papi Reddy, Chairman of Telangana State Council for Higher Education declared the results of ECET-2016 at the auditorium of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University at Hyderabad in the presence of press persons. Present on this occasion was Ms. Shailaja Ram Iyer, Incharge VC of JNTU-H, Prof. N.V. Ramana Rao, Rector, JNTU-H, Prof. N. Yadaiah, Registrar and Convenor, Telangana ECET-2016 and Prof. S. Tara Kalyani, Co-Convenor of Telangana ECET-2016.
Talking to newsmen, Prof. Papi Reddy that Telangana ECET was held on 12th May and within 12 days the result was declared. He said that the average of the result is 93.65%. He also informed that 26968 candidates had registered their applications for this test but only 26408 candidates took the test. 24731 candidates were declared to have the test. He also informed that necessary steps were taken to ensure transparency.
Responding to the questions of the press reporters, Prof. Papi Reddy told that initially, the certificates of the eligible candidates would be scrutinized. After this process is completed, counseling for admissions will start in the first week of June, 2016.
