Hyderabad: Dusara holidays are here for children and college students across Telangana starting this Tuesday.
The Telangana school education department and the collegiate education department have declared Dasara holidays from October 9 to October 21 while the university colleges will be shut from October 13 to October 21, TOI reports.
Junior colleges, too, will have the vacation from October 9 to October 19. However, the members of the Telangana Government Junior Lecturers Association has requested the extension of vacations until October 21.
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) is yet to confirm on the request.
Meanwhile, the school education department has instructed all schools to follow the schedule and directed them not to conduct classes during vacations.
“All schools, including CBSE, ICSE, and IB affiliated schools have to strictly follow the government instructions and declare Dasara holidays. Any deviation in this regard will be viewed very seriously,” said an official.
Similar instructions have also been issued to issued to junior colleges where the the TSBIE has strictly asked junior colleges to avoid holding coaching classes for students during the vacation.
The officials have warned of strict action against management especially for conducting classes to 12 class students during the vacations.
