The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA), in collaboration with Telangana Government, is launching the ‘Telangana Digithon – Digital Literacy Programme’ on August 27 at UGC Auditorium of JNTU Kukatpally.
The ‘Telangana Digithon’ Logo was unveiled by Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao last month.
“Through ‘Telangana Digithon’, TITA aims to prepare 10,000 Digital Leaders (Trainers), who in turn will impart Digital Literacy knowledge to 100,000 people in the first phase. The first batch of Digital Leaders will be given training in imparting Digital Literacy to the people. They will be the ‘Digithon Certified Trainers’ from TITA. Posters designed for the propagation of Digital Literacy and the Digital Leader’s Manual will be released.” said TITA President Sundeep Kumar Makthala.
The event will be inaugurated by Telangana State Planning Commission Vice Chairman Singireddy Niranjan Reddy while Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan. SEZ Association of AP & Telangana Chairman Srikanth Badiga and other eminent personalities will address the function.
