Telangana deprived of important posts, Cong. MLA expresses resentment

Hyderabad, June 4: Congress MLA from Warangal district T Rajaiah on Friday expressed resentment over Telangana being given deputy posts instead of important posts. He declared that it would be decided in the meeting of June 5 whether to vote for or against no confidence motion.

Congress MLA from Ghanpur assembly constituency Mr. Rajaiah raised objection on giving the post of Assembly speaker and Chairperson legislative council to Andhra leaders and also naming Andhra leader for the post of Pradesh Congress president and expressed deep resentment for giving all the deputy posts to Telangana leaders. He said that the separate Telangana movement was started against the injustices done to Telangana region and scores of students and youth sacrificed their lives for the cause, but still injustice is continued with Telangana region in distribution of posts.

Mr Rajaiah stated that the Telangana MLAs would raise this issue before the Congress High Command and demand that the injustice be set right.

The MLA further appealed to the state government to make a statement on Telangana issue before the introduction of the No Confidence Motion against the Chief Minister.

“Based on the statement given by the government, the MLAs from Telangana would take a decision whether to support the Motion or not,” Mr Rajaiah stated.
