Telangana Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma conducted the Special Task Force (STF) meeting here on Tuesday and reviewed the progress of Hyderabad Metro Rail project.
HMR MD NVS Reddy made a detailed presentation on the Action Taken Report (ATR) on the decisions of Chief Secretary of 15th STF meeting held on January 9. The targets achieved since the last STF meeting were also highlighted.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary desired that the construction of 3rd bridge connecting MGBS to Rang Mahal Jn. Should taken up on top priority to ease the congestion at MGBS RTC Depot. The HMR MD was advised to get the DPR (Detailed Project Report) prepared within one month and the GHMC Special Officer was asked to take up the construction of 3rd bridge duly including this work in the priority projects of GHMC.
The Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department has been asked to conduct a meeting with Commissioners of Police, Hyderabad and Cyberabad; GHMC Commissioner and HMR MD to prepare an action plan for developing all the 80 road junctions in three Metro Rail corridors. The Chief Secretary desired that a comprehensive DPR to be prepared for developing the above junctions keeping in view the post Metro Rail construction scenario.
It has also been decided to discuss the report on security plan of Metro Rail depots and stations with Secretary, Home Department and the same would be submitted in the next STF meeting. The status of acquisition of critical properties in road widening on the three Metro Rail corridors was reviewed and Collectors of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts and GHMC Commissioner have been asked to expedite the process of acquisition on priority for the balance 247 properties.
Regarding shifting of utilities, Dr Rajiv Sharma desired that all the utility organizations shall come up with simplified procedure to expedite the shifting of utilities by cutting short the present lengthy and cumbersome process.
