Hyderabad: Despite stringent laws, the crime rate increased by 12% in Telangana State in 2017.
According to the news published in DC, the crime against woman increased by 18%. Other crimes also show an increase this year when compared with 2016.
Talking about the increase in crimes, Mr. M. Mahendar Reddy, DGP said that measures were being implemented to reduce crimes.
He further said that police is working to set up community policing and Bharosa centers.

Talking about the recruitment of police constables, he said that 10,000 constables would join next year and another 14,000 would be recruited soon.
