Hyderabad: Most places in Telangana continued to receive heavy downpour today with Kaleswaram in Karimnagar district recording 6 cms of rainfall.
Rain occurred at most places over Telangana, with heavy showers being reported from isolated places, the IMD said in its daily weather report for Telangana.
Hyderabad and places on the outskirts of the city received 3 to 4 cms of rainfall, it said.
Several low-lying areas in the state, including Hyderabad, were inundated and rivulets were in spate due to the rainfall since the last few days.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy inspected road restoration works at different places in the city, a GHMC release said.
He held a meeting with officials and directed them to take up road restoration works on a war-footing, it said.
