Telangana Cong seeks Assembly session to discuss ‘financial

Hyderabad: The main opposition, the Congress, today demanded that the TRS government in Telangana convened a Legislative Assembly session to discuss the “financial crisis” in the state.

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Assembly K Jana Reddy and Opposition Leader in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir alleged in a statement that the financial situation of the state government turned worse due to “lopsided financial management”.

The financial crisis in the state has been kept hidden from the public attention with advertisements and “rosy declarations”, they charged.

“The common man is put to a lot of miseries, but the chief minister is silent on the issue and has not urged the Centre to initiate proper steps to resolve their issues as they have an underhand deal with the BJP government,” they alleged.

The Congress leaders urged the state government to take steps to channelise an adequate amount of currency notes to the poor and middle classes for their daily needs.
