HYDERABAD: Claiming threat to his life,TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao currently enjoys Z category security. Under ‘Z’ category, KCR travels in his bullet-proof Toyota Land Cruiser Prados and his luxury bus worth Rs 5 crore, manufactured by Mercedes Benz.
Now KCR is expected to move into his bullet-proof `dream home’ on Thursday at Begumpet in Hyderabad, which is reported to be guarded like a fortress with 50 personnel, bullet-proofed bathrooms, windows and ventilators worth several lakh rupees.
According to the sources based on recommendations of state intelligence officials states that all the visitors coming to meet him would be frisked they need to surrender their phones, watches and other metal objects.
The bathroom in KCR’s palatial new home in Begumpet, stretch over one lakh square feet, which has been fitted with bullet-proof glass (ventilators and windows). And two bedrooms, the CM’s and that of his son KTR, too have been fitted with the high-quality glass. All this has cost several lakh rupees.
There will be 50 security personnel monitoring the camp office-cum-residence 24×7, many of them armed, including members of the Intelligence Security Wing (ISW) which take cares of VIP security.
The CM’s new home will also flaunt a “towering” compound wall to ensure nobody can peep inside.
A senior Telangana police officer said.“One cannot take chances with the CM’s security. While planning the security cover of VIPs in particular, it is important to negate every possible threat option. This house is going to be the official bungalow, therefore, the extra money spent on security will not go waste.”
The house has been constructed by the Mumbai based realty major Shapoorji Pallonji.
