Telangana CM instructs officials to prepare 10-year action plan for Hyderabad

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India]: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday instructed his officials to prepare a ten-year action plan for Hyderabad and to start the initiative immediately.

Chandrashekhar wants his officials to prepare an action plan for the next ten years and an overall plan for the next 30 years. His plan is to set up two reservoirs, looking into drainage, sewerage network, flood canals, power supply, sanitation, transport issues, markets, building more public toilets, maintaining greenery around the city and other such matters.

While speaking at a review meeting in Pragati Bhavan, Chandrashekhar said, “Hyderabad is developing quickly and based on the increase in population; the needs will also increase. Looking at this, we have to keep in mind the growing increase in needs and demands. We have to have a plan as to how this city should develop after 30 years? We have to prepare plans for future and what all is needed to be done? So for that, we have to make an action plan that will make Hyderabad a better place to be.”

“As we plan, our top priority is on giving uninterrupted power supply to all sectors.
