Hyderabad (Telangana) [India]: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday announced 64.61 percent hike in the salaries of Village Revenue Assistants (VRA), who are working on hereditary basis.
The salaries will be increased from the existing Rs. 6,500 per month to Rs. 10,500 per month.
Apart from this, double bed room houses and an additional Rs. 200 per month will also be provided to the hereditary VRA’s as an increment for achieving the Telangana State.
The hiked salaries will be paid from April 1.
Announcement has also been made to regularise the VRA’s who have passed the Public Service Commission examination and are working.
Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Chairman Ghanta Chakrapani and Special Chief Secretary MG Gopal have been asked to prepare guidelines for the same. (ANI)
