Telangana Cabinet takes major decisions

The Telangana Cabinet on Tuesday gave nod to setting up of a new power plant in the State.

During the three-hour long meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the State Cabinet gave nod to the MoU signed between the State Government and BHEL over setting up of new power plant. The cabinet also approved the policy for generation of solar power in the State.

The cabinet also discussed and approved the plans to construct houses for weaker sections in Hyderabad and Warangal. The guidelines for housing schemes were also approved and it has been decided to conduct open bidding for the same. It has also been decided to create 13 new posts in Finance Department.

According to sources, the cabinet also discussed the forthcoming MLC polls on June 1 and expressed confidence that all five candidates of TRS would get elected. The Chief Minister has also decided to convene the meeting of TRS Legislature Party on May 29. (INN)
