In view of devastation caused due to heavy rains and floods across the State, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has postponed the State Cabinet meeting which was scheduled to be held on September 26.
The Chief Minister directed the ministers to coordinate with the senior officials of their respective districts in relief and rehabilitation works in affected areas. Following reports of alarming increase in levels of Godavari River, the Chief Minister asked the Collectors and Superintendents of Police of Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar and Khammam districts to take all precautions to prevent any untoward incident.
