Telangana Bill to be tabled in Andhra Assembly today

The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly is expected to witness a stormy session as draft Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill-2013 is likely to tabled on Monday amidst rift between pro and anti-Telangana members.

While the Telangana supporters cutting across the party lines are calling for a debate on the draft bill, the Seemandhra lobby led by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is determined to press for a resolution to be passed, before considering any discussion on the Bill.

Speaker Nadendla Manohar faces a tough job of keeping the house in order as he is due to convene a business advisory committee (BAC) meeting, where T-members outweigh their Seemandhra counterpart.

The BAC meeting will be held after Assembly Secretary S Raja Sadaram tables the draft Bill and circulates the copies to members when the House assembles at 9 am.
