Telangana bandh called by Telangana Rashtra Samithi and other pro-Telangana parties and organizations had a huge impact also in the old city. With less traffic on the roads, the buses were also off the road. A large number of people kept themselves away from the markets.
Generally partial effect was seen in old city during Telangana bandh but this time some schools also remained closed in view of bandh. Usually there was a mixed response of bandh in old city but this time a large number of people remained indoors due to bandh. Some schools declared holidays on 5 and 6 December while others had to close the schools seeing the clear impact of the bandh on the roads. Telangana supporters called school administrations on phone and appealed to take part in the bandh.
The normal daily activities were also affected at the prime areas of old city like Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Madina Building and Pathergatti.
