The Telangana State has bagged the prestigious Award for the best performing State in Skill Development and the entrepreneurship category focusing on the theme of “Realigning Skilling towards Make in India “.
Labour Department Secretary RV Chandravadan will receive the Award the award jointly constituted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India in Collaboration with various Ministries of Government of India at New Delhi on Tuesday. Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy will present the awards at the on “Skilling India Summit–cum-Awards event.
The Telangana State has been selected as the Best State considering 23 Parameters in Skill Development and training programs for educated rural and urban youth for the last 3 years. The State Government is imparting Job specific skills through specific training programs for the unemployed and increases their employability.
The State undertaking REEMAP has provided placements to 5.3 Lakh Youth in different sectors, and training to 7 Lakh youth in the Industry with 1000 instructors. It has emerged as a role model for various States and scaled new heights in training process, quality, systems and innovative concepts. About 3,000 industrial units are participating in the employability training programs for the youth in Telangana state. (INN)
