Hyderabad : According to the weather report by Meteorological department, on Tuesday, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will be having rainfall for the coming two days, adding that there will be a reduction thereafter.
“Low pressure system is over South West Madhya Pradesh and the adjoining areas and is likely to move the north. Under its influence, there is a wide spread of rainfall over the north and west regions and Telangana. During next 48 hours, there is a reduction in rainfall. There is fairly wide spread rainfall in North West Andhra Pradesh,” told scientist Nagaratna to ANI.
The department further stated that Gujarat is also under severe threat of heavy shower, accompanied with squally winds.
The department, on Tuesday, issued a notice, on behalf of Manorama Mohanty, director (forecasting) of IMD Gujarat, of severe weather forecast that read, “Severe Weather Forecast: Heavy Spell would occur over Surendra nagar, Botad Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Morbi, Valsad, Anand, Kheda, Aravali, Gandhi nagar, Sabarkantha , Patan, Ahmedabad district within next three hours. It will be accompanied with squally winds reaching 30-35 kmph.”
Mumbai, on Tuesday, recorded 297.6mm rain in 9 hours (8:30am-5:30pm), higher than any 24-hour rain in August in a decade. (ANI)
