Governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh made several promises regarding upliftment of minorities however the officials and workers of Minority Welfare Department have not been provided with proper place in the secretariat. The space allotted to Minority Welfare Department by both the governments in Secretariat is quite insufficient.
Andhra Pradesh government allotted a chamber in L Block ground floor for Special Secretary Minority Welfare, Syed Omer Jaleel which unfitting for an officer of his rank. A small room has been converted into the chamber of Special Secretary which lacks even the basic facilities like phone and fan. If this is the attitude towards an IAS officer what will become of the workers of Minority Welfare.
Similar is the case with Telangana Minority Welfare Department. The chamber allotted to the secretary is not yet ready to occupy and the place allotted for the office of Telangana Minority Welfare employees is quite insufficient.
