Hyderabad: On account of recent incessant rainfall, almost all the reservoirs in Telangana are completely full of water. It is expected that for the next few months in the future, there won’t be any problem of drinking water in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It was reported by waterworks officials. They told that the Yellampally project is almost full and the water level of Nagarjunasagar is rapidly increasing.
The Maximum capacity of Yellampally reservoir is 20 TMC and at present, its level has reached 19.59 TMC, out of it, 10 TMC water is required for Hyderabad.
Nagarjunasagar has a capacity of 590 TMC. Its present level is 585.7 TMC. Waterboard supplies 440 mn. gallon water to Hyderabad every day, out of which 152 MGD water is received in Hyderabad from Yellampally and 260 MGD from Nagarjunasagar.
