Hyderabad: The Telangana Joint Action Committee had organised a programme ‘Koluvulakai Kotlata’ on Monday regarding Unemployment in the state. At the end of the meeting, TJAC Chairman Professor Kodandaram had launched a scathing attack on the Current ruling party of Telangana, TRS.
One of the objectives of achieving Telangana State was to provide employment opportunities to the youth who were discriminated in the erstwhile undivided Andhra Pradesh.
Prof. Kodandaram had said that the Government failed to fulfil its promise of filling government job vacancies as soon as it assumed power. He further added that “Did we ask for your chairs or any valuable things? We just asked about filling job vacancies and release of a job calendar.”
TJAC Chairman also demanded Government to come out with white paper on Government’s claim of 2 lakh youth getting jobs in private sector. He asked how many natives of Telangana got those jobs in private sector.
There are about 2 to 3 lakh vacancies in government sector, as per the figures shown by TJAC.”We are ready to prove government’s figures on job vacancies are not correct. No Group-1 notification was issued. Only police jobs are being filled,” he alleged.
Prof. Kodandaram also said that Telangana was achieved for welfare of Telangana people, not for welfare of one family or family rule. He urged the youth not to take extreme steps and end their lives. The crowd present at the meeting shouted “KCR down down.”
