Telangana: 3 teen sibling died in US house fire

HYDERABAD: Three young siblings from Telangana’s Nalgonda district have died in a fire which broke out at a house in Collierville in the United States.

The tragic incident took place just two days prior to Christmas. The three teenager victims, all from the same family were identified as Sathwika Naik (16), Suhan Naik (15) and Jaya Suchith (14)

Their parents identified as Srinivas Naik and Sujatha send their three children for the purpose of education in the United States. The siblings were guests of the Coudriet family of Collierville for the holidays.

The trio was killed when they were asleep along with 46-year-old Kari Coudriet, the owner of the house, news agency UNI reported whereas Kari’s husband Danny and their 13-year-old son Cole escaped the fire and survived.

“A fire started around 11 o’clock pm at the Coudriet home. The Coudriet family was hosting, housing, and celebrating Christmas with three teenagers attending an Academy here in the States. The Naik family are missionaries in India that our church supports,” Hindustan Times quoted from the statement released by the Coudriet’s Collierville Bible Church.

A Facebook post by the Town of French Camp confirmed the tragedy. “Friends and family, please pray for Pastor Naik and his wife. They sent their three precious children to America from India to keep them safe, and during the break, a fire took their lives,” it read.
