TEW has taken up an analysis of candidates have criminal cases. For this purpose the affidavits filed by them are taken as basis and analyzed by a committee and a report is prepared.

They said that in their analysis some candidates are having cases registered during Telangana agitation, and some have criminal cases and few other have cases of both the types. Many cases are pending since last 6 to 7 years. For 119 Assembly seats there are 365 candidates of the above parties in the fray. Out of 365 candidates 181 candidates have cases against them. Out of the above, if more number of candidates wins elections, in the coming Assembly there will be more than half legislators having cases against them.
