The Telangana Employees JAC on Monday threatened to launch agitation if the cases registered against the employees during Telangana March were not withdrawn in the next 10 days.
Talking to reporters after submitting a memorandum to Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew at her chambers in the State Secretariat, TEJAC president Devi Prasad alleged that the police have registered false cases against the employees. Stating that the employees were not involved in any act of violence, he accused the police of harassing the TEJAC leaders and members.
Devi Prasad said that the Chief Secretary has assured the TEJAC delegation that she would speak to Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy regarding the withdrawal of 21 cases booked against the employees during the Telangana March.
TEJAC Vice-president Mohammad Mujeeb and General Secretary Srinivas Goud were also present on the occasion.
