Tehsildar arrested by ACB in Warangal

Warangal, May 07: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested a Tehsildar in Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh after trapping him while taking bribe of Rs 30,000.

Lingala Suri Babu, Tehsildar of Chityal mandal, was caught red-handed by the ACB officials at his residence last night. He had demanded bribe for issuing an NOC to the complainant, and for forwarding the same to the Mines and Geology department, an ACB release said here.

In another case, A Narsinga Rao, Village Revenue Officer at Rameshwarapalli in Biknoor mandal of Nizamabad district, was trapped by the ACB officials, when he demanded and accepted Rs 4,000 as a bribe from the complainant for carrying out mutation in land records.
