Hyderabad, April 23: Declaring it indispensable, Telangana Elders’ Forum stressed the need for a united struggle of all political parties for separate Telangana. The participants expressed their views at a round table conference on Chapter-VIII of Srikrishna Committee report. They pledged that all Telangana supporters would share a common platform transcending their political differences. They appealed to all Telangana MLAs and MPs to join Telangana movement otherwise they would be counted among traitors.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan editor Siasat daily proposed that all MLAs and MPs should be appealed to join Telangana movement by passing a resolution in the meeting and their resignations should be sought and kept with the Elders’ Forum. In case of anti Telangana decision by the centre the resignations would be sent to the speakers of parliament and assembly.
Coming down heavily on Srikrishna committee he said in order to keep Muslims away from the movement Muslims were labeled as terrorists in the 8th chapter of the report.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan said although he is in TDP, he raises voice in the party also in favour of Telangana.
Mr. Zaheer Uddin Ali Khan, managing editor Siasat supervised the arrangements of round table conference. Captain Pandu Ranga Rao, Dr. Gopal Kishan, prof. Shiv Raj, Dr. Raheem Uddin Kamal, Smt. Jyothi Kiran, Smt. Ratna Mala, Ved Kumar, Allam Narayana and others spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Hasan Uddin Ahmed, Mr. Mujtaba Husain, Mahmood Ali, Dr. Allauddin Ansari, Dr. Sudhir Naik, Dr. M A Ansari, Mr. Ifteqar Shareef, and representatives of various organizations were also present on the occasion.
