Hours after his girlfriend committed suicide, an 18-year-old youth killed himself following failure of their love affair.
The tragic incident happened in Nagi Reddyguda of Aziznagar in Moinabad Police limits on Wednesday. According to police, a 15-year-old girl B Navneeta fell in love with her distant relative and neighbour 18-year-old Suresh. While Navneet was studying in 9th class in Government School, Suresh was an employee of a private firm.
Their love affair reportedly began a few months ago. However, on learning about the same, the relatives of Suresh rebuked Navneeta and asked her to stay away from him. Felt insulted, she committed suicide by hanging at her residence on Tuesday night. On a complaint lodged by her father Narasimha, police had registered a case and began investigation.
Meanwhile, Suresh went into a shock after learning about Naveneet’s death. He too committed suicide by hanging on Wednesday evening. Both the cases are under investigation, according to inspector Ravi Chandra. (INN)
