Kapurthala, July 19: A seven year old girl was allegedly raped by a teenaged boy at village Sandhu Chattha, police said.
In a complaint lodged with the police, the victim’s mother Jaswinder Kaur alleged that accused Jatinder Singh took the girl behind the school building of the village on July 16 evening while she was playing and raped her. She alleged that her daughter was profusely bleeding and told her the woeful tale.
Police on Saturday arrested the accused and took a police remand of three days from a local court. Police have registered a case of rape against the accused. The victim was brought to the local civil hospital for her medical examination.
