Varanasi, August 22: Two children died when a 17-year-old mentally challenged girl jumped into a well along with them at a village in the district, police said today. Sita, the mentally challenged girl, was playing with her relative”s one-and-a-half month old daughter and their one-and-a-half-year old nephew yesterday.
She took both of them in her lap and suddenly jumped into a well, police said. The children died instantly while Sita was admitted to a private hospital, they said.
Sita came here from Kachhwa in Mirzapur for her treatment and was staying at her relative”s place in Vrindavan village.
