Teenaged lovers found dead, honour killing suspected

Chandigarh, June 20: In a suspected case of honour killing, two teenaged lovers were found dead and their bodies recovered from the house of girl’s uncle in a village in Haryana’s Bhiwani district today.

Pinku (19) of Manheru village and Monica (18) of Neemdi Wala were found hanging, Bhiwani SP Ashwin said.

“We suspect both were done to death. The bodies were recovered from the house of the girl’s uncle at Neemdi Wala,” he told PTI on phone.

He said a case under Section 302 (Murder) and other sections of the IPC was registered against six members of the girl’s family which includes her parents, uncle and aunt and two brothers.

The case was registered on the complaint of Pinku’s maternal uncle.

Ashwin said the boy belonged to ‘Dalal’ gotra (sub caste) while the girl was from ‘Boora’.
