Kota: A 15-year-old girl was raped by a man at her house in Chabda town of Baran district on Sunday.
Police said the incident took place on Sunday morning when the girl, a resident of Shiv Colony in Chabda, was in the bathroom at her house.
The accused, 28-year-old Mahendra Bairagi of Teachers’ Colony in the town, barged into the toilet and raped the girl, Chabda police station in-charge ASI Ram Karan said.
The girl and her mother lodged a complaint, following which a case has been registered under IPC Section 376 (rape) and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The girl was also sent for medical examination to the district hospital in Baran.
The ASI said efforts were underway to nab the accused.
