A sight seeing visit turned out to be tragic for a family as a 17-year old girl died after she fell into the Pilavakkal Dam in this district today.
Kamala of Koomapatti-Ramasamiyapuram drowned as she slipped and fell into the dam, police said.
Fire service personnel retrieved the body.
